I called the number listed on the City of Rochester website and online and tried to access the website for the Mary Jemison cruise and both are disconnected. Looks like the Sam Patch cruises are still running, but that is not in the city, it is in Pittsford.

This is no longer running. The only boat tour still running in Rochester is located in Pittsford, The Sam Patch

The captain and crew were outstanding, very knowledgable, and shared valuable information regarding the canal, community, and the historical boat. The crew actually had formal backgrounds in history and professional presented programs identifying unique aspects of the community and canal. The captain invited us into the pilot house and shared many interesting facts and stories of the Erie Canal. We... More

Our experience on the Mary Jemison was delightful. We did the Friday evening dinner cruise on what turned out to be Greek night. The catered food was very nice if not exactly gourmet. The cruise started on the Genesee River and headed away from downtown, past Rochester University and other pleasing eye candy. We took a right onto the Erie... More

We took the Mary Jemison cruise on the Erie Canal, leaving from Rochester, NY. The captain was Bud Webb and we traveled with four children ages 1-6. They had a great experience, learned some interesting history, saw some great views of Rochester, and had a one on one discussion with the Captain. He and his crew were wonderful.

We road on the Mary Jemison (spelling?) on July 4. We had all the ice cream we could eat, a large cookie, and soft drink and traveled on the Genese River to watch fireworks. On the 4th of July. The crew were very nice, the weather good and excellent ice cream. My only fault is that all of the food... More
