Only open Fridays 1-3 not easy to find using public transport from Rochester. Some good displays and well briefed docent. Worth a visit, but make sure it is Friday!

My husband and I like historic sites, and this particular site gives you a good glimpse of the past along with some Rochester background history. For the cost, it is well worth the visit here!

Visit the Stone-Tolan House to see what life was like in the 1800's! House has been beautifully restored. It was orginally built as a tavern.

I first visited this place chaperoning during a school visit. I was fascinated. For me it is one of the must see places for visitors, especially international visitors.

The docent's are amazing. You really get a sense of Rochester as a frontier town with carriage houses and inn's and stuff!
