The mines themselves are open sections of lowered land. The price to mine isn't too expensive and the sights are located in a forest. The forest itself is quite amazing and is just serene.

We have been to the mine and campground 4 times now and are planning our 5th this summer. We started going in 2006. We have alway had a great time and the owners are great people. We look forward to going back!

We didn't stay in the cabins. We just spent the day there. I would recommend bringing your own hammers and wedges. We saw a couple with a sledgehammer so I'm not sure what is off limits to bring besides industrial equipment... More
