Nice Museum

Interesting museum. I learned a lot about dance and how other sports have "dance" incorporated into them.

Since my wife and I are basically song and dance people we didn't know what to except here. The Hall of Fame featured its 2016 inductees - Patricia Wilde (ballet) and Gregory Hines (tap). Video sets are scattered everywhere showing dance performances of present and past Hall of Fame inductees. Another section of the museum has big screen video's dedicated... More

There are rotating exhibits in this museum, which I think I was told is the only dance museum in the country. Dance buffs will enjoy.

Always loved dance so I had to see this museum. Beautiful pictures, costumes and memorabilia. Stop in if you are in the area.

The Museum of Dance is an excellent stop for anyone who enjoys dance/dance history. We've gone numerous times over the years and the exhibits are always well curated and filled with fascinating visuals and interesting information. The Hall of Fame is our favorite exhibit - we've been lucky enough to attend a couple of the induction ceremonies and they are... More

I'm so glad we stopped to visit here. The museum was really well done. The building is lovely, and the exhibits are really well done. My daughter is a dancer, and my husband is, well, not. However, they both really enjoyed the exhibits, especially the Dancer as Athlete exhibit that featured famous athletes past and present and their connection to... More

If you or any member of your family is a dancer, this is a MUST stop! The featured exhibit during our visit was correlating dance and athletics. Multiple sports featured as they relate to dance, movement, etc. Tons of work put into that exhibit! Also many, many other exhibits of costumes, former ballets, etc. Also of note, as your tour... Although Hubby was not particularly thrilled with the decision to go here, as he is not a dance enthusiast, he was pleasantly surprised by the exhibits once we went inside. The large exhibit featuring comparisons between movements involved in sports and dance he found especially exceptional and enlightening and he also enjoyed the Dancers in Film exhibit. Having an interest... More

This was a pleasant surprise. My daughter who is 12 wanted to go here and I was happy we did. My son is 10 and I was wasn't quite sure what he thought but there were no complaints. The costumes on display are amazing and if you don't know much about dance there is quite a bit you can learn... More

I read the reviews before I wrote mine and I was shocked that one reviewer said that they only needed twenty minutes to tour this place. I arrived here with two friends expecting that this would be a small, somewhat interesting venue and BOY, were we surprised. The lobby exhibit was about the many aspects of ballet, then we wandered... More
