Lots of trails with trees and small geysers really provide a nice setting for some moderate outdoor activity. We had a good time and using our stay at the Gideon Putnam Resort as a base, we had easy access to all the trails.

Such a large and lovely park with so much to do! We brought a picnic lunch in November and ate it in the "warming hut" which was a small cabin which had a lovely fire going. It kept us toasty while we ate. We also visited the auto museum on the grounds. I've been here several times but have yet... More

Beautiful park offering plenty of well-marked trails past forests, waterfalls, swimming pools. All-season opportunities for everyone to enjoy. Close by are all the Saratoga sites -- the race course, the baths, the museums. Great place to base your stay in Saratoga.

So many year round opportunities, trails for walking running, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and biking. A wonderful pool for families and a new play ground along a stream for all she groups. Check out their website for program that are offered by the Park staff.

There's so much to do in Saratoga Spa State Park in every season. Saratoga Springs is known for Health History and Horses, but the Spa Park offers so much more. In the summer, there are hiking trails, biking, multiple swimming pools (Victoria and Peerless); golf. The Gideon Putnam hotel is delightful. The performance theater is the summer home for the... I've only been once, but I will definitely go back when in the area. I walked up a trail past the geyser to a lovely waterfall. It made for great pictures! I feel like there's more to explore and photograph.

I went to Saratoga Spa State Park off season and it was quite nice. There are a lot of trails to walk and things to see and do. The park is geared to activity all year long, be it hiking or cross country skiing. It is worth a visit any time of year.

Something about a state park so close to home is so special. I do not think people realize how lucky they are when living to these natural wonders!

You should certainly take an hour or two out of your day to walk the trails and see the state park. If you enjoy nature, it's for you!
