Our first stop in Saratoga Springs was to the Visitor information centre (across the street from Congress Park), and the lovely ladies there advised us to check out the Park.
We checked it out right away.
The park is gorgeous, well landscaped, beautiful gated entrance. The park has a lovely walking trail to explore it all. There are a number of sculptures, ponds, and a creek running through it. The main attraction is the Spring water fountains that many tourists come to to try the natural spring water that the city is famous for.
There is a carousel within the park that was carved by Marcus Charles Illinois. As avid lovers of carousels, we wanted to take a ride, but the carousel is cash only and we didn’t have any cash on us.
Plan to bring cash if you visit so you can ride the carousel.
The Italian Gardens at one end are beautiful and have a number of statues.
There are bird houses throughout the park.
This is a gorgeous first stop when you visit Saratoga, but don’t forget to check out the Saratoga Springs History Museum on property as well. This park would also be a great location to enjoy a picnic lunch.
There is parking inside the park – but it is limited and very tightly monitored. If you park in a spot that is not authorized you will get a ticket within minutes of parking.

This is a lovely park with number of springs. If you stop at the visitor center, across the street, they will you cups to sample the various springs. Locals and tourists alike share this park with the ducks. These ducks are so at ease that they allow their ducklings to stray far from the parents, it is marvelous.

This is a small, relaxing park right next to downtown Saratoga. There are ponds, a few of the famous mineral springs (though now one only pumps city water), a war memorial, and an antique carosel that is the last of it's kind in working order that you can still ride on the weekends. A great place to spend an hour or two while exploring Saratoga.

Very nice park in downtown Saratoga. Large grassy areas with plenty of shade trees and benches, fountains and statues making for a nice relaxing experience. There are also a couple of wells with the famous Saratogoa Springs vichy water.

We decided to park and listen to the band for the “free” concert in the park. It was only an hour from 7pm -8pm. Being older the music didn’t appeal to us. Our complaint was a member of the band talked too much. It was scheduled for an hour and he seemed to like to talk entirely too much. But, it was free. We sat in our car and relaxed after a long day of sightseeing. The Congress Park is magnificent and has so much history. We are looking forward to attending the next concert.

A gem right in the center of the city and the downtown restaurant and business district. Expansive park that offers walking paths and water etc... Well maintained and very busy with walkers and bikers.

We spent time walking through the park and sitting on the benches watching the world go by. The park is full of people and also many hilarious ducks. Yes, the ducks are beggars, but if you ignore them they will wander off. The park is well landscaped and maintained. It is a lovely oasis in downtown Saratoga Springs.

This is a beautiful park located in the downtown area. The signs are very helpful in understanding the history of the area, and you can even taste the water if so desired. I just wish that the city would take maintenance a bit more seriously.

A great quiet park that is relaxing with a good walking path with flowers and statues. It also offers mineral water from 5 of the Saratoga Springs in fountains that are constantly running.A must visit if you are in town.

RonnieSEUnitedStates made a mistake and said "while visiting Sarasota". I meant to say, Saratoga Springs. The TripAdvisor staff did not catch this. Sorry.

Either way no problem, as long as you say New York, a person will get through.
