The museum is free so that's a bonus and worth the stop. It focus on NY involvement in US conflicts from the revolutionary war to WW. II. It's not big but it is free. The entire exhibition probably needs 30 to 45 minutes to appreciate...More

The exhibits are outstanding and trace NYS military history, in particular, through the Viet Nam war. They don't glorify conflict but put it in context, using with photos, videos, & examples of uniforms, medical care, transportation & daily life.

Great little museum. Scavenger hunt for kids to follow along for each exhibit. No admission cost, donations accepted. Well kept museum - exhibits were very informative.

My sons loved this museum. Now, they understand what wars means. They realized how much sacrfices soldiers must live. It's a great place to educate kids and it's more effective than books. They asked me to come back. So...it means a lot.

The exhibits, arranged by time period into separate alcoves, with informative cards and thoughtfully arranged presentations bring the visitor into the life and times of members of the military throughout time. The addition of personal identification of users of the artifacts adds an amazing touch.
