Definitely must see if you are in the area

Upstate NY museum (not in the town of Woodstock) that depicts the era, how the concert came to be and the 3 day show itself. A little light on period artifacts, but the story is well told. Definitely worth watching the video that runs on a 30 min cycle at the end and visiting the site. Nice store as well.

NOSTALGIC - YA GOTTA GO
Dec. 2018
If you are from the Woodstock era, do yourself a favor and go. It will bring you back to the time when Rock n Roll first started.

A Delightful Surprise

We had an absolutely wonderful time hanging out with Nathan. The museum inverted expectations in the best possible way, and provided a completely authentic and unique experience. Peace Love and Music!

Very Trippy

Nathan's collection of Woodstock footage is great. Really enjoyed the 10 minute video. Nathan himself is a gifted story teller, who is easily sidetracked. Let him! The offshoot stories were fun. Be open and put yourself in a peace & love state of mind and you will enjoy this trippy, one-of-a-kind experience. ✌☮

Of course it's trippy, far out, groove and outa sight! It's Woodstock! Thank you Anne for your generous praises!

50th Anniversary

We visited the Museum while traveling through New York and were completely impressed with everything about it. The organizers of this have done an incredible job telling the Woodstock story. You literally get to relive the events of the concert. If you’re traveling close to the area I’d definitely add the Museum to your plans.

Our Lucky Day!

Visiting relatives nearby and wanted to stop here before driving back to Florida. Noticed that weekdays are by appointment only just as we were about 2 minutes away. I called and Nathan made time for us on the spot!! We had a very informative talk then watched his movies of Woodstock. We had forgotten or maybe never knew so much about the time 1969 but learned a lot and feel fortunate that we called last minute! He is a wealth of information!

Super Fun Trip Down Memory Lane
Jul. 2018
My husband went to the original Woodstock, so he was able to add an even more personal perspective to our visit. There were lots of young people there who were super interested to know what "it was really like." My husband was happy to share. Great atmosphere and a fun place to go!

Woodstock Museum was great!

If you are from this era (60's) this was very enjoyable and done very well. Just be careful when you look it up on the website some guy in Saugerties NY is advertising a Woodstock Museum and you have to make an appointment. The real one is in Bethel Woods New York - not in Woodstock so don't make that mistake either. They explain why it is called Woodstock but no in Woodstock NY at the museum.

What a mistake!!!!

This is not the beautiful museum that is on the site of the actual Woodstock Music Fest. This is an old art studio that a hippie named Nathan talks about Woodstock Fest and politics. It was a tiny room with some photos and posters on the wall. He showed us a 10 minute film that was about news clippings from national news. I do not recommend this but do recommend that you go to the Museum at Bethel Woods which is a fascinating museum on the grounds of the original Music Fest. The Museum at Bethel Woods is the museum that they showed on NDC "Today Show".

“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”. Our Woodstock Museum tours are truly appreciated by just about all of our visitors. If you are fascinated by Woodstock the town, the festivals and the notions of those amazing times, you too will enjoy our tours as so many have. We know this by the many enthusiastic comments preserved in our guest register and on video. I am a tour guide and filmmaker who survived the era on its front lines, much of it on the west coast. I am also, along with my wife, ambassador to Wooodstock’s sister village in Australia, where we go every 5 years to document what could have happened if the era had taken root and evolved in the U.S.A.
