Have taken all my children here to teach them to ski. They have a nice bunny slope and the mountain is doable for a beginner. We really enjoy this slope close to home.

A very small, one lift ski area in Rotterdam, NY. Experts will find this boring. They do have a good ski school and very good instructors, making it a good place to learn how to ski.

Maple Ski Ridge is an excellent local ski center. The staff is all very friendly and courteous. They have trails for all levels of skiers, a terrain park for snow boarders and a great four run snow tube hill.

I hadn't been skiing in YEARS, so this was the perfect "mountain" for me to start on. It wasn't crowded, the staff was super helpful and the mountain was small. Maybe because it was the end of the season, but it seemed like everyone knew...More
