This is a nice trail, however it really needs to be better maintained. Dead trees everywhere. It could be very beautiful if it was properly managed.

As a resident, I have enjoyed this walk for years. When our children were young, it was a walk we could all do. Even in winter when you are desperate to get out, this is perfect. I recently walked the trail on a sunny fall...More

We enjoyed this trail after visiting the Last Shot. It's a very short, very flat path that follows a little creek. Lots of stone walls and ruins of buildings past. Don't need special gear, shoes, or be in shape! It's a great little side trip...More

Enjoyable, relaxing, well-maintained, easy walking. The best parts are the ruins of the mills and places where the water was channeled or damed up. Keep your eyes open for these things on both sides of your walk. Take the small "detour" to the Last Shot...More

It was a little tricky to find, but we're glad we did. It is a walk/stroll, not a hike, but really enjoyable. I highly recommend you do the web-based guide that is advertised on the path - it made the walk so much more interesting....More

If you'd like a meandering walk in the woods with the sounds of a babbling brook with small waterfalls, try this one. It is full of history along the way, as some of the ruins of past mills powered by the water of the Skaneateles...More

Nice, easy walk along a wide, well-groomed trail. You can park at either end. Explore the short turn-offs that take you to water. Look for the "relic" stump (locals we ran into told us about it) - in front of a bench at one of...More

The trail goes along an old railroad track. It is flat, with a few side trails to the water. This was an old milling area. It is quiet, easy, and about 9/10 of a mile.

We walk two miles every day and prefer relatively flat terrains. This trail was perfect for us. It is 1.6 miles (round trip) - we back-tracked to make the hike at least two miles. The setting is beautiful, walking on a nice shaded track along...More

I love this walk. The Charlie Major Nature Trail is .8 of a mile long. There is only one trail. There is a small playground at the Crow Hill Rd./RR St. entrance. Our black lab just loves the trail. Just be sure to... More
