Jonathan Kruk's rendition of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is first rate. It was great fun to listen to his dramatic and spirited performance and to watch the faces of the children in the audience, who probably had never seen anything quite like this before....More

We were here for the "Legend" which included both an excellent storyteller in period costume and an equally good musician also in costume. Getting to sit on these historic pews allowed us to go back in time and imagine what it was like for the...More

If you like old buildings, go and check this area out. I'm not sure when the church is actually open but the web site states they have some activities but only on the weekend and only for a couple of hours and even then it...More

We planned our visit to Sleepy Hollow to include the Old Dutch Church on Friday, 10/13 and were disappointed that we were not able to go inside. There was nobody around to give us any information other than the markers outside the door. The building...More

The oldest church in New York state. Kept up very well. Volunteers are very helpful and nice. They have a nice map of the cemetery, with historical information and photos. A must for this area!

Beautiful historic church. Well maintained. I'd suggest taking time to walk parts of the cemetary as well.

If you are familiar with Irving's Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, this graveyard is a must. Beautiful Dutch church from the late 17th century and wonderful gravestones, some in 18th century Dutch. Combine your tour with the Victorian park-like Sleep Hollow Cemetery.

Most weekends Jeannie Galdano is outside the gates of the Old Dutch Church selling reasonably priced souvenirs. Her companion has the keys to the church and will happily give a guided tour if asked.Don't forget to ask about Icabod and that crazy horseman.

The Old Dutch Church and Burial Ground are adjacent to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and should be considered as one destination. Note that the Church is accessible only on Sundays. That said, we had no problem getting a good sense of the building by simply...More

It is a seasonal event but the church and graveyard are open. Jonathan Kruk is the performer and has other storytelling events around NY and Westchester County. Check it out on Facebook.
