We drove into the parking lot, and paid $5 to park. The Lighthouse was supposed to open at 11:30. Never happened. When we left, I asked for our money back. The attendant said "didn't I tell you it wasn't going to open?" No he didn't....More

$10 per family gets you a pass to multiple historical spots in Southport. View from the lighthouse was spectacular. Volunteers working were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our visit very much!

Not impressed. $5 to park and they never said the museum was not open. We should have checked the hours before visiting. Beautiful view. Interesting story about the anchor outside the lighthouse.More

Bicycled there; nice grounds and view. You can picnic, take a nature walk, or go down to the beach. Also climbed lighthouse and got informative tour.

The volunteers who show you the lighthouse are very informative and quite charming. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse on steep stairs and rope ladders. Fun!

The people that volunteer inside the lighthouse are friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to truly enjoy what they are doing and have a love of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is a little off the beaten path, but definitely worth going to. Beautiful grounds and location....More
