It's an old style theater with balcony and organ that is occasionally played by a local organist. I always love going there.

This is a very old theater. The seats are large and comfortable, there are never big crowds, you don't have to wait on long lines, the parking is close by and accessible. The nostalgia is unbelievable. They even have an organ. If you just want to see a movie and don't want to go to a multiplex try it you... More

The Lafayette Theater is a good 40 minute drive from my home but a few times a year we make the trip because the place is unique, historic, and awesome. In a day of leather recliner power seats in luxury theaters some might have a problem with the 'old school' seating and ambiance. To those people I would say you're... More

This is a nice old movie theater. Plenty of seating. On the weekends there is an organist playing music before the shows so make sure to come early!

The decor is reminiscent of an opera house, but there is one screen so that you can watch a movie. If you just wanted to go watch a movie, it is a nice sufficient setting to do such.

Friday night flick with the wife. I love the historic old building and the wurlitzer organ is a muss listen at lease once. Shame not too many people were in attendance. Chairs arent the most comfortable but they are old and historic, so its a trade off. If you see a very long film, your back will feel it!

We found an advertisement offering two very old silent movies, Sherlock Jr, starring Buster Keaton, and Sunset for $2 per person. How can one miss a real bargain opportunity to see an old double feature inside a beautiful old theater. Upon arriving at the theater, we waited until staff opened up the doors. Once inside, the friendly, helpful staff directed... More
