I made it a point to stop here on our way to Watkins Glen State Park for a camping trip. I was told about the falls from a friend of mine who visited a while back. It was just meant to be a quick stop...More

This was a pretty easy hike alongside the gorge leading to a beautiful and large water fall. The path was well maintained. If you are in the area, definitely check out this hike!

Absolutely amazing and well worth the tripI! had the pleasure of arriving on a very rainy day and saw the falls in its natural muddy state and then three days later came back on a beautiful sunny day and I couldn't believe how crystal clear...More

Taughannock Falls State Park is, quite simply, one of the best state parks in the eastern USA. The waterfall, which on our visit in mid-July 2017 were spectacular because of the recent heavy rains, are an awesome natural wonder. Some of the hiking trails in...More

We spent 2 nights here and loved it. We had fire pit and picnic bench on our camping site. The toilets and showers were always clean and there were never queues despite being a busy weekend. Within walking distance to the lake and the start...More

Through the years we have walked the gorge many times, both at the bottom and along the upper rim. Fun to walk in the water (wear water shoes) with kids. Taller than Niagara Falls! Awesome this summer with lots of water cascading from above. Take...More

We used to visit here as a child and it's every bit as magical. The walk up to the falls on the flat path or wading through the water up the bedrock (be careful it can be slippery) is all part of the fun. We...More

The gorge trail to the waterfall was pretty easy. It didn't take too long to hike to the waterfall at the end of the trail. Many people took advantage of walking on the fairly flat rock formations that paralleled along the trail. Didn't take the...More

pleasant HIKE AND JUST AMZING, GORGEOUS FALLS. Easy walk from parking lot to the lower falls and a small hike to the upper falls......jaw dropping height and force and just a beautiful waterfalls experience. Not a strenuous walk.

The falls and surrounding scenery are beautiful and definitely refreshing on a warm day. The forest and cliffs offer a pleasant gateway to the main attraction. Although I didn't go in the river, it was tempting, and there were many easy entry points . I'm...More

As others have said, we have had a lot of rain so there is a lot of water rushing through the gorge. I don't think walking through the water is either safe or allowed.

No problems at all! A tiny bit muddy in some areas but the roads are all clear. Perfect time to go because of the extra water!
