If you are in Tupper Lake on a Friday evening and the skies are clear, be sure to take advantage of the free star gazing. Well-informed staff help visitors view different celestial objects through very high-powered telescopes.

Charming observatory with hi tech telescopes and friendly people to guide you through the darkest night sky's in the country. The APO has turned many people on to astronomy. A must see . You owe it to yourself.

The APO is located past Little Wolf Beach. It's a great place for professional and amateur stargazers. Look for the sign on Route 3 in downtown Tupper Lake to guide you to an awesome experience.

Best time to go Fri. night. Volunteer experts on hand. Can be crowded. Kids and grownups all enjoyed it.
