The interpretation site was disappointing. There were four employees sitting behind a desk the whole time, one without a mask, another playing cell phone games, and two others just chatting loudly about life. Zero engagement or attempt to talk about the exhibits. We felt like we were very unwelcome. The only time they was to say good bye. Not a typical national park visit.

Stopped into this Park Canada yesterday. Its a nice drive up there. Plus there is a nice long hike to one of the beaches.

Lots of nice pictures opportunities! I highly recommend this stop to anyone!

I read about it online and it said it was a boardwalk. But that didn't prepare me for a floating boardwalk and stunning scenery. It was a breathtaking hike and so quiet as it is quite hidden away, many tourists just don't find it. We really enjoyed watching the wildlife and climbing down on to the beach to watch the waves crash onto the sand. Our highlight of Prince Edward Island.
There are other walks too and cycle paths but to be honest if you have done the boardwalk first, the other's are not as impressive but worthy walks if you do them first !

The actual Interpretation Centre had closed by the time I arrived, but the trails were still open. The highlight for me was the 45 minute walk on a floating sidewalk over a freshwater bog. The air is so crisp and clean with just a hint of salt on your tongue. When you reach the final dune, quite a bit of effort is required make it over to the beach. But once you are viewing the Gulf of St Lawrence, you will want to (as I did) roll up your trousers and dip your toes in. Even in September, it was still warm.

Drive to the intersection of routes 2 and 16, and then go to Greenwich on Route 313.

There is a very nice visitor center with a 12 minute orientation film. There is a great 1.5 mile hike that goes into unique U-shaped sand dunes. There is a guarded beach, showers, and an observation tower for those not wanting to walk to the beach.
Other hikes are available. Just a pretty area. The road that leads to the northern edge beaches is dirt but smooth and not long.

This is a great place to spend a few hours exploring PEI, or longer if you have the time.

love the boardwalk trails and the views are amazing! It's a great place for a picnic, but not much else to do other than walk. Would definitely go again soon!

Yes, this is worth the entrance fee to the park. The boardwalk was an easy hike out and really quite beautiful. Once out on the beach there is another viewpoint with information on the various dunes. Lovely area, quite serene even with all the people there.

This is an incredible place! One of PEI's best kept secrets. Beautiful interpretation centre and a great walk to the ocean. You will need some time and good footwear as the return walk is about 4.5 km's.The floating boardwalk is very impressive and the sand dunes are incredible. If you are looking for a beach to get away from it all then this is it.Miles of white sand in both directions. We were two of maybe six people who spent time on the beach after the walk out.Next time we'll make a day of it and stay longer by the ocean with the surf and the seagulls. This place is a piece of paradise.

We took a drive around PEI and ended up here. Lovely informative interpretation Center. There are board walks out to the beach a long deserted strip that makes for a peaceful walk. These dunes are completely covered with vegetation doing there job of stopping coastal erosion. If you want to shorten the walk to the beach drive to the second car park skip the floating walkway. Then it is a quick board walk to the beach.
The Center is closed a week after labour day and you can walk to the beach for free. We saw maybe five other people

Sadly this centre was closed in May but there are many lovely walks in the area and it is well worth exploring. The beach was gorgeous, long and sandy with hardly anyone around - my perfect beach. Nice walk through the wooded area too.
