We enjoyed a cozy lunch in the bistro which was festively decorated for the holidays. We were able to relax with our tower and enjoy a tasty meal. Servers were friendly and efficient. The tasting room and store weren’t open yet so I was unable to buy any thing to enjoy at home. Would definitely go back!

I was excited to visit this place due to great reviews. I feel like I was at the wrong spot. Our meal started with the list of items they were out of. Soup, baguettes, seasonal veg and on and on. This was Thurs and there were 3 other tables filled.I had coconut haddock, so dry I used a knife. The vegs ( I asked for double veg) was the woody end of the asparagus ( which I throw away in my kitchebn) and mushy beans. The waitress told me the supplier normally sends those ends. I don't know who received the tops. The other person at the table received rice and potatoes , double carb and her fish was dry. No wonder the meal took so long. My husband had a fatty and grizzly steak with mentioned asparagus stems. The other guest had Shrimp Scampi w/ 4 small shrimp. I gave it 1 star due to the wine which was fine. They did give us 1/2 off the price of 1 dinner.

After many recommendations, we were finally able to give this place a try. My husband and I, along with another couple, took a motorcycle ride on a beautiful summer afternoon. We didn't realize we would be essentially crashing an engagement party. Upon entering the bistro, we were met with a friendly welcome and told that the kitchen was closed for a private party. But, instead of making us leave, the staff made an exception and allowed us to place an order. We walked to the bar/wine tasting area and were able to listen to music on the patio while we waited. The manager/owner herself took our order and said the chef would bring our food out to us. The bar was lively with a party going on, and there were many beer and wine selections available. We all ordered burgers and fries, and the chef carried them across the parking lot to us. How's that for service!! The party goers came to talk to us, and we were quite entertained by a funny lady who may have had a few cocktails!! It turned out to be one of the most enjoyable afternoons we've had in a long time. Good food, great staff, and an afternoon full of laughter. Villa Verona will definately be at the top of our list the next time we head out on the bikes.

Our visit is always an enjoyable one when there. Wine and music in the tasting room and good conversation with server. We have always enjoyed our meals in the bistro, but unfortunately the staff turnover is hard to keep up with. There have been many chefs, and finally, there was a super experienced chef that offered a great deal to their menu. Since his recent departure, this may have been the second chef but I’m not sure. Our last visit was not busy at all, maybe 15 ppl at the most. Chef had a difficult time getting the food out in a timely manner. But a bit of wine and good company is also why we go out. I hope things get in order, the food has always been good including this visit. If you’re not in a hurry, try it. But, the tasting room music and wine are always great. The 3 stars reflect the wait time. We are very patient but keep it reasonable.
