My boyfriend and I went here because we ordered those wine passports and this was on it. We live close to Warwick so we were surprised that we have not heard of this place. Anyway we pulled up and saw the vineyard and thought wow it's nice back here. The winery looked like someone's house so we were like uhhh?... More

Wine was terrible. Tastes like the bottles had been open for months! The owner was very unfriendly and tried to rush us out. He didn't explain any of the wines. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Save your gas. The old man is nasty, acts like hes doing you a favor. We came for the "wreaths and fineries" this weekend. The place is nothing more than a large room full of grappa for sale and an old grouchy man behind the bar. They gave us a soggy cracker and a square of cheese and shuffled us... More

We had a lovely experience with the owner and tasting the selection of wines he has to offer. Nice stop and beautiful location. Bring your own picnic of a place. Huge pavilion with tables and panoramic views. Come by and talk to this living history book and if you speak a little Italian or Spanish you will make his day.

So having read some other reviews I am a bit confused because the wine I tasted was delicious. But not only the wine! The owner made the experience a wonderful memory for us. Demarest was an unexpected stop as I had been navigating between Applewood and Warwick Valley. I saw the sign at the side of the road and made... More

Bad, horrible, terrible, undrinkable! Save your money and your time and don't go. Worst wine I've ever had.

Because it grows its own grapes, Demarest is apparently vulnerable to birds that eats grapes. I am told tt is legal in New York State to use air cannons to keep birds away from crops during daytime in season, and that is what Demarest does and has done for years. Whenever birds get too close, the cannon goes off. This... More

As someone else said, I don't usually give a bad review. However, I just had to add my thoughts here, because this winetasting was an awful experience! This winery is set at the top of a hill, with a sweeping view. It is attached to the owner's home, so when we arrived, I wasn't sure we were in the right... More

Worst winery experience ever. Terrible wine and terrible service. Don't bother. Much better places to spend your time in the area.
