Not huge or spectacular, but small and very peaceful. I took time to shed the shoes and visit inside as well, and will follow up with research of the various shrine objects. I'm sure it will be in sightful.

This was the first Hindu temple we saw in Mautitius and were really quite impressed. However, as we came by car, it took us quite some time driving in crowded narrow streets to finally find a spot we were not even sure was legal. The street where the temple is located is quite lively and crowded with people, cars and... More

We took the local bus to Grand Baie and walked along the coast road to reach this Temple. It took about thirty minutes as the path disappeared at times and we had to compete with the busy traffic on the road. It is not the most interesting of walks, particularly as the local bus goes right past the entrance (the... More

Some great masonry statues and paintings in this temple but all rather worn and neglected. The outside world pushes at the edges of this temple but nevertheless a peaceful place despite being near to the main Road. We were encouraged to make a donation to take photos.

Not really worth the trip. It's clean and tidy, but we were ready to move on really quickly. If you're in the area, it's fine, but don't go out of your way.

This temple is very beautifully decorated, what you would expect from a place of worship. A lovely old man saw us in, you have to donate a small amount 100rupees to take picture which from travelling to other countries and visiting mosques and temple this is a very kind gesture. I enjoy seeing into different beliefs and religions so enjoyed... More

We walked West from Grande Baie on a very busy coastal road for about 20 minutes to get to Temple which is on right hand side. It is very tranquil and extremely colourful and richly decorated. Very ornate outside but less impressive inside which is entered through huge pillars and is mainly an open hall. A donation is requested.

Very nice architecture of this temple. Just like a proper south Indian temple construction. Nice, beautiful and peaceful place. There is a small lake also around it. But it was made dirty. Due to the rituals done. It could have been kept clean instead. There is one shiv murti also nearby where you can visit.

The amount of details put in this type of architecture is really impressive, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, all the statues are very high detail and quality, something great to look at.
