Great place to see animals especially birds- small, medium, big and gigantic. Very different than Ngorongo, Serengeti, Tarangire. In the Rift Valley.

Wonderful little park with tons of cool birds. Baby wildebeest being born. Loads of baboons. Not a crowded park in February.

This was our first game drive and we saw a lion with his kill and a huge herd of elephants crossed right in front of the b van. There were numerous other animals and it was also quite quiet.

We went round here for one day and saw lots of wildlife highlights being elephants mud bathing and tree climbing lions. Would recommend especially if you are a keen birder as plenty of species including a lot of wetland birds.

Lake Manyara National Park was the second park of our 6-days safari. This park was very different from all the other ones, as it is situated between the shore of the lake and a "mountain chain". We loved our day of safari there. We saw...More

We were very lucky at Lake Manyara. We really didn't have great expectations as we had heard it was often difficult to see the animals here due to the dense forestation. Of course there are mahogany, strangler fig, croton and acacia trees in a jungle...More

I really can't say When we went it was January. So whether or not the road is open now I do not know. The Lake is worth the visit. And you will see lots of animals. Have fun !
