I would like to warn other women to be very careful at Mrembo Spa. I had a very unnerving and scary experience there with the deaf male masseuse, who made unwanted and inappoproate physical advances on me. I won't go into more detail here because...More

Massage was disappointing. The masseuse moved very quickly and it was not relaxing. The massage started 10 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early. Not a great way to spend $45.

I booked for a Pedicure while my daughter had a henna done. Our therapist was Fatma. The massage & scrub part was lovely but pedicure less so, I think I could do a better job myself! We were seated beside the shop so Fatma frequently...More

I had an excellent massage here. It was quite deep and exactly what I needed after my Kilimanjaro climb! My therapist (Asha) was blind and knew exactly what to work away at - she was excellent. I left feeling like I had a new body!...More

I went for a 90 minute massage, scrub and a pedicure. There was some confusion over the massage-and-scrub combo; I ended up getting a scrub as part of the 90 minute massage, shortening the massage which was a shame. The massage itself was OK (not...More

Went twice: once for the 90 min Mrembo massage, and once for the Singo + massage. Very nice little place, very nice and professional staff. Maybe the Singo is not really worth it, but the whole experience was definitely very good.

Before arriving in Zanzibar I did my research and decided Mrembo Spa from the pictures and reviews was my best choice. As much as I would like to give five stars, I have a few gripes. Firstly the room, although better than some other places...More

I booked a singo scrub after an extremely long day and was pleasantly surprised. I loved that the scrub gave me a glimpse into a longstanding Zanzibari beauty ritual that left my skin soft and fragrant. The ladies who worked there were very helpful, and...More

It depends on what treatment / oil you have with the massage and whether you are paying in shilling or dollar. I see the website has a telephone number and an email address. It may be best to ask them directly.
