Built by Spanish missionaries in 1750, services are still conducted in this little yellow chapel that is considered to be the first church established in the Caribbean.

We took a ride from the beach to escape the heat with the car's AC and arrived just as a mass was starting. Much larger attendance than I would have expected for a Tue afternoon, most people were seated outside on benches. Apparently they have...More

Visited in Sept 2017 on a Rover Jeep Tour with DePalms Tours. This was one of our stops. Even though it was quick, it was beautiful inside!

Such a beauty. So quaint and spiritual. I said a prayer when I entered. The guide told us the story behind the chapel. Loved how peaceful it was.

We visited as part of a UTV tour. Lovely history described to us and the church which was rebuilt in the 1950s was very well presented. Worth a visit. There are a couple of souvenir/refreshment stalls outside.
