A bull is the most interesting thing on Osorno's central square, Plaza de Armas.

Once you've spent half a minute looking at the square, hurry over to the cathedral, which is one of the most beautiful in all of Patagonia. There is much more beauty and much more spirit there than on this insignificant square.

This is the Main Square of Osorno. Like many other Plazas de Armas, you'll find here: banks, notaries, restaurants, the Cathedral, the post office, the Municipality, and many shops.
At one corner is the statue of a Bull, representing the cattle that is raised in this Region; Chile's 10th Region, or Region of The Lakes.
There is an odeon where bands play, but there is no schedule.
You can sit on one of the many benches, and practise the art of seeing people walk by, and you can witness the way in which Life develops in this city.

A walk around Osorno will bring you to icons like this bull. I guess it represents the importance of the beef/cattle industry here. This region is famous for it's beef. It's a fairly rundown city, and you can see where it was in the glory days by the falling-down old buildings, some of which are well beyond restoration. It must have been quite a charming city in it's day.
