Not too much to do without snow but to get a nice panoramic view. Don't go with MTOTOUR, very unprofessional and even dangerous , as there cheap car cannot compress downhill and they overheat the brakes!!!.

An incredible place to ski, quite close to the city (about an hour) and the snow is spectacular. Perfect for beginners and advance skiers and snowboarders. But be sure to bring a lot of cash/visa as food was really expensive. One burger without anything else was 10,000 chilean pesos, and bottle of water 3000 chilean pesos.

Very exiting trip exciting, from the beginning to the end, there you can enjoy of a beautiful valley of snow to ski, snowboarding. Its a little bit expensive but you can have a great time without paying anything, I would recommend you to bring special clothes, food to stay all day long and your camera.

Visited in early November after the ski season was over and winter was ending but we were amazed by the magical views of the mountains around. They were spectacular. We did not had a chance to ski because the facilities were closed but it was enough to visit and see the scenery.

Nice place to ski. The base is 10,000 feet so it's high altitude and above the tree line. They have one high speed quad and a bunch of poma lifts and T-bars. Also a couple of low speed chairs and a short gondola. The lunch service on the mountain is fairly slow and offers minimal choices, most of which are... More

It's a Ski Resort, period. It's not that friendly with people that don't have experience with skiing, so if you just want to have some fun with snow, don't go there, I would recommend Farellones for that. If you don't want to ski, you can ride the cable car and have a view of the cordilheiras. There are two options... More

The proximity of Valle Nevado to Santiago made it an easy escape while recently in Chile on business. As there had been no new snowfall over the period of the previous two weeks or so, I was prepared for Spring conditions. The slopes were clearly marked and well groomed. The mid-mountain restaurant and facilities were modern, and from the incredibly... More

I hear Valle Nevado can be expensive, but as I won my trip, I won't comment on that particular aspect of things. I will say that the scenery is spectacular, the food delicious, and the skiing fantastic. Sure, it lacks any real steeps, but has solid beginner and excellent intermediate terrain, and even in late season with crusty conditions, I... More

The terrain is fun but not particularly steep or challenging. Compared to the Rocky Mtns, I would lower their rating scale by one or 2 levels. There are too many platter & T-bar lifts which I came to dread. The base & mid-mtn facilities are also in need of serious upgrades. There's not even a place at the lower base... More
