The owner was kind enough to show us around the vineyard and wine making process. It's organic, they put a lot of love into the wine making process. The tasting went well. We purchased two bottles st Emil lion ed cru countet 2012, reasonably priced. It was cold during the winter months but it's worth a visit especially showcasing organic... More

Visiting Chateau Coutet is visiting one of the only Bio produces of Grands Crus of Saint Emilion. Perched on an elevated area it has beautiful views over the surrounding chateaus, and they are extremely respectful of the nature and environment. The visit itself was super informative; after visits in La Rioja, Burgundy and South America this was one of the... More

We booked in advance the very affordable "Tradition" visit, which was enthusiastically given to us by Matthieu, a member of the family living at Coutet. Matthieu made us feel so welcome on the property and was genuinely excited to tell the story of the chateau. The visit was so informative and interesting. We were so pleased to be there, to... More

We enjoyed the trip to this Chateau and happy to know how a family-run Chateau preserved the traditional way of making wine in organic way. The taste of the wine were special and fresh, probably because they are free of excess pesticide.

We visited this chateau as part of a guided tour and were very pleased with the visit. It lies nicely, close to St Emilion and we got some history about the Chateau as well as information of wine making and in the end therr was a wine tasting.

We had a quick wine tasting for a party of 6. Nice and informative. However we purchased some wine tubes on recommendation from the guide that they would be allowed onto the plane....they were all confiscated. Nice tour except the tubes not being allowed onto the plane even though they were sold on that premise.

I'm really afraid, we never had any problem with the Wine In Tube in plane. You has been the first person telling us it was not possible. We ask the director of Wine in Tube, here is his answer : "All countries allow the transport in the cabin of a liter of alcohol per 100ml maximum fraction. This means that... More

As mentioned previously, this vignoble has been in the family for many generations and they are all organic. It is quite fascinating to learn the different waves and hardships they must go through in order 2 sustained in all organic process, right down to protecting the precious Vines from harsh weather. We were taken to the old cave (not a... More

We had an amazing time with friends there. Adrien gave us a tour of the estate telling us stories from the past. It is one of the few estate in saint emilion who is still family owned and it really does make a difference on the quality of the tour. The wine is great and not as expensive as its... More

This chateau offers a fantastic tour. They are extremely passionate about what they do! The wine yard is organic and has always been, they have never used pesticides and in some plots they have even gone back to using horses instead of the heavy machines since this is better for the soil. I have visited many Chateaus in the past... More
