The entrance and exit to the Star Castle and Garrison walk, it sets the scene to take you back through time. A really great feature, I'm glad it's been preserved and maintained!

An interesting place to visit. Spectacular views if you walk the full circle. The prison cells hold an interesting exhibition with facts about the garrison's history.

We passed through this gate at the end of our walk round the peninsula, and it has been well maintained. It is also the main route to and from the Star Castle hotel. The street leading up to it is fairly steep.

Spent time looking at the ammunition storage area and reading the detailed description as well as looking at the powder kegs - we then went on to walk a large section of the Garrison Wall
