Shell Beach is a long, thin stretch of white sand on the far side (away from Guernsey side) of the island. From the ferry arrival point it is signposted. The walk is flatter but longer if you approach it from the left (turn left from...More

a bit exposed to the wind and the sea goes out a long way. Lots of boats anchor here. Notice Alderney point at the end of the beach?.....Alderney has much better beaches.More

Dear Linden25, Many thanks for your review of Shell Beach, Herm Island. The gentle slope of fine sand on the beach affords a wonderful playground for families, kayakers and boaters to enjoy Shell Beach. On a spring tide, the tide will go a long way...More

Shell Beach is a lovely place to spend a whole day on Herm when the weather is good. We tend to take a ferry over at 10.30 from Guernsey and get one of the latest ones back. We usually get some sandwiches from the Mermaid...More

We caught the 10.30 ferry from Guernsey and then walked around the coast path to shell beach, then continued along the beach to the harbour beach for a picnic. I found Herm to be tranquil and quiet. We were lucky with the weather for October...More

The island of Herm is well worth a visit. Only 20 minutes from St Peter Port. Within minutes everyone from the boat seemed to have vanished and silence prevailed. She’ll beah was a short but pleasant walk from the harbour. Very attractive with the bonus...More

I heard rumour that it used to have more shells, but people have been taking them(?) Not sure if this is true, but it certainly doesn't have anymore shells than the average beach. That said, we didn't go there looking for shells! It is a...More

Didn't eat here as they had stopped serving food, but a lovely Inn to stop off for a drink before walking around island.

I found Shell Beach to be an attractive beach on Herm when I visited. It was medium sized and quite popular, with most visitors presumably arriving and leaving on the busy ferries from St Peter Port, which ran almost hourly until early evening. There were...More

We went for a day trip to Herm in the middle of September so late in the season. The beach only had a few people on it. It was very clean and the sea looked welcoming. Sadly the kiosk is expensive. The food/beverages come from...More

This is a wonderful beach, so clean and the water so clear. There are paddle boards and kayaks to hire. Plus a beach cafe. Great spot.

Lovely little bay, which is well worth the walk to explore Herm and find. Great selection of drink / nibbles to fuel you before your return trip back to the main town.

Everything has been said, beautiful beaches, kiosk too if you reach the Shell beach and the next bay. Quite a walk if you want to walk around the Island. Plenty of boats and a must if you come to Guernsey.

Have tried to amend but does not seem an option to do so. Does this have to be done by TA? How do you notify them of an error?
