The Basin is a short walk from main beach and has good facilities - toilets and shade. Quokkas. It has great snorkeling and fish to see. I have no idea of the fish kind/type, but there was a pair of enormous fish playing right next...More

Very pretty spot. We didn't have the best weather. Would be great to come on a hour day so you could snorkel in the beautiful water.

If you want to see a beautiful sunset, you have to go to The Basin. It's breathtaking. But in general The Basin is a beautiful bay and if you come in spring or autumn you don't have to share it with many other tourists.

A group of friends and I recently stayed on Rottnest Island, boy what a regret that was! They clearly do not want young people on the Island as we were regularly visited by the police and threatened via an eviction notice... Not a fun time

Calm waters, turquoise seas, white sands. A great little place to spend the day or to just watch the sun go down. A wonderful place to calm and relax you.

The pristine waters of the Basin at Rottnest are just so inspiring. White sand, crystal clear water and lovely jagged cliffs - you feel like you've died and gone to heaven!

The Basin is not far from the main settlement on Rottnest. It's an easy walk. The Basin is a sheltered beach, making it great for kids.
