The bit you see first. When a ferry lands it is very busy with seemingly endless visitors and a finite number of places for coffee and eats. It copes superbly.

This island is amazing, it has beautiful landmarks, nice food, no noise and those cute little quokkas. I would certainly recommend coming here and exploring, it is well worth it.

We came over for nye with our family and friends visiting from england. We had the best day. Live band and performances. Had games with prizes. Kite making and facepainting for the kids. Great atmosphere. We have decided to come again next nye!! Love Rottnest...More

Went for the Rottnest Swim had 3 bedroom cabin Thomson Bay south. Lovely clean and comfortable, by the beach with sea views to Fremantle. Great cabins at great location close to everything.

Few restaurants and shops in the main are of Thompson Bay, near the ferry jetty. A lot of quokkas jumping around and looking for food.
