Yesterday hubby and I spent the first time at Rottnest Island. I had read reviews that Little Salmon Bay was the ideal spot for snorkelling so we started our day there. We were not disappointed. Make sure you get there early as by lunch time the beach was packed. Beautiful large open space for swimming with crystal clear blue water!... More

Salmon Bay is beautiful. The beach is very quiet as it is on Rottnest. It is a great spot to relax and spend the day. The beach is very photogenic and is easily accessible.

A great option for snorkelling and usually quite good in the afternoon for weather. Little salmon can get quite crowded but salmon Bay in my opinion holds just as much with more space and beach to share around.

to be totally honest I'm not 100% which bays were which on Rottnest Island though I am sure of the 100% beauty of Rottnest. I had heard it was worth a visit and that it was beautiful however I am unprepared for how beautiful Rottnest Island is. I am impressed that mostly people hire bikes and ride around the island,... Beautiful clear water and white sand beach. No washrooms nearby so beware! Bring snacks and lots of water as well.

Salmon Bay is a beautiful spot which is quite large. Again, beautiful colours in the water and clean white sand. I took so many pictures here. So rugged, so beautiful.. Wish I could have stayed longer

Salmon Bay is arguably one of my favourite spots to visit on Rottnest Island, the beach is really beautiful! Tip: If you use the Island Explorer (hop on-hop off bus), you can consider getting off at Parker Point and walking along the main road all the way to Salmon Bay. It is not very far away and the beach/coastal views... More

Very picturesque. Went for a snorkle in Little Salmon Bay instead as it is more sheltered. Saw a quite few fish even though it was rough out (and winter).

Stopped here after walking the trail from the township - phew! What a view - gorgeous white sand and clear blue water. Would be even better in summer, without the walk!

Beautiful, for sure! But definitely one of the best places for snorkeling! The water is so clear that you'll fell like diving!!!
