It is a shame. The gardens here are very nice even with the long hot summer this year. The playing greens need work. The greens have holes which can be avoided but the leaves, flowers and general garden bits made for playing some what difficult. Then there is the lighting around the place at night could be better with a good clean. They are coved in spiders web and anything else that will stick to them. We felt that the price was a rip off and the restaurant was no better. Don't bother taking any food or drinks as you cant enter with it. It could be a nice place for a picnic on the grass near the pond area. I need to hear about improvements before I go back.

Having read the reviews, I am not sure what has happened to this venue. The gardens and lawns are manicured and the restaurant a pleasant environment. Our family outing in the middle of a warm day was disrupted by mosquitoes in plague proportions, sloshy wet golf carpet and holes filled with muddy water. Not very pleasant reaching in to collect your ball. The pinic lawn has been replaced by an eye sore of a white marquee that appears to be a permanent addition. The restaurant staff were inattentive, only able to state a 20minute delay before we could order food. The bill never arrived so we made our way to the bar and paid. Unfortunately in our experience, the venue could not be recommended.

Went here with three little ones, prices are ridiculously high, cheaper to play nine holes at Hamersley Golf Club. The actual gardens are very pleasant except for the swamp like Mosquitos, recommend you cover yourselves in Rid or aero guard! The holes are from when first built, my wife who is now 40 says it hasn't changed from when she played there as a kid, ie, the imitation grass is so worn out you actually see the rubber in most parts, there are large holes where you putt from from the years of people putting in the same spot. The holes are so simplistic it is laughable, ie bricks make up most of the obstacles with old steel pipes to guide the ball. Not a great experience generally and not return unless they had a major capital injection...not great for unknowing tourists..owners should have a look at the reviews as they are very telling..

The gardens are beautiful but the golf mats need replacing. Divots in tee off areas make it hard to put ur ball in the right spot. Please update the golf section.

great half day out whether you have oldies or youngsters. combining a little physical dexterity with the beautiful surroundings is a great way to relax and have time out without having to spend a bunch or drive for hours. the cafe at the end is also a testament to some ingenious gardening ideas.

Both the golf and the billiards are great fun. The gardens are now very mature and look like they have been there forever. The cafe is a nice end to the time spent in the gardens or you can just pop in for a meal or coffee.

The mini golf is a bit of an attraction for the kids and its popular. After the last visit though we never went again as the service was so poor, infant downright rude, that we felt like we did not even want to do the golf, with my young son who was on his school holidays. The mini golf is good though but the cranky woman in the service hut was unnecessarily rude.

I have been here many times and although the scenery is lovely and you often see couples getting married here, it is in serious need of an update for the golf here. The course is a little run down and no change in 5 years.
