When you come to see the sights, you become one of the sights. Every day is different at the Town Center, aka The Village Green. The "Green" is now GREY since the updating with paving stone

It's a fun people watching spot. I can imagine at Leef peeping season it will be seriously jammed packed. I pretty babbling brook runs through the town. The actual 1969 Woodstock concert grounds are an hour away.

It was a Monday, but the town was still teeming with people, musicians playing in the square. It is a wonderful town to stroll and browse.

Woodstock's Town Center, known to locals as the "Village Green," is currently paved with mossy blue stone, all the better to support our Sunday drum circles, which coexist with the "Women In Black," tireless protesters of all wars. On Christmas Eve, it's packed with kids...More

I lived in Woodstock for 3 years in the late 50s. In those days, it was a cloistered, little known artist community with tons of fairy tail charm. When I visited it again last summer, 60 years later, I was very pleased to see that...More
