50 years ago we swam and my children enjoyed this little lake in our community. 40 years ago this lake was still in good shape and friends pulled out of it the largest snapping turtle I ever saw. 30 years ago the development around the...More

Very dirty water with many small fish not suitable for swimming. Nice sand though. Lots of parking for residens only

Sparkle Lake's a great and pretty hot days access option for locals, especially those with kids. It's the most attractive Yorktown Heights natural site I know for adults who just want to relax while kids swim in a lifeguard protected near bucolic setting .

I wouldn't swim in water with that many geese - too much you know what! But little kids like playing in the sand, and it is sort of pretty. Town pass is a must or you won't be admitted.

A very nice lake for swimming or fishing. The water is clean and during the season there are swimming areas. The beach is in good condition with new sand added each year. Worth a visit on a hot day.

Sparkle Lake has a public sand beach and a tiny private sand beach. During the summer, there is a lifeguard, and an area roped off for swimming.
