All the slopes were open. The slopes were well groomed. The new 6 person lift really helps with the lift lines not being too long.

We rode the ski lift up the mountain during the summer. Awesome experience and amazing views. Once at the top we walked thru a trail to the top of the mountain. Well worth it!!

We vacation at Sugar Mountain during the winter and summer. I prefer the summer because of the beautiful views and many outdoor activities to enjoy. My husband loves to ski, so he prefers the winter visits.

Our twin boys learned to ski at 400ft mountain since the age of 5. Sugar Mountain with 800ft drop is next step before going to Colorado or other "very serious" place. Advantage for us - less than 3 hour drive from RTP area. When snowmaking...More

You can’t compare NC skiing to Vermont or New Hampshire but for down here it’s not bad. Really enjoyed their newer trail “Gunther’s Way”. Keep adding some more trails Sugar...even if they’re small, the more the better. One improvement could definitely be the food in...More

IMHO, I would call the resort and ask. I've been there several times but never when it was as warm as it's supposed to be this week.
