A great little gem in the Village of Beaufort. FREE**** Awesome museum with interesting exhibits for people of all ages!

This museum has priceless artifacts from the pirate era that are extremely well presented. This should be a must stop in Beaufort and well worth an hour or two. Amazingly it is also free.

Interesting, free, mostly pirate information. Blackbeard and the Queen Anns revenge. Some Discovery tables. Video. Nice gift shop.

Awesome exhibits are everywhere in this free admission, that's right free, maritime museum . I found the section around the discovery and recovered artifacts from blackheads Ship particularly intriguing . Stop in and plan to stay awhile so you can soak it all in. Lots...More

Entertaining and informative for both the pirate fans and marine biology enthusiasts. I would recommend spending a few hours here to anyone.

Nice facility in the heart of the Beaufort water front...our party ranged in age from 9 to 52 and everyone loved it...lots of Blackbeard treasures that have been recovered from the Queen Anne's Revenge...we actually got to hold a cannon ball recovered from the ship...don't...More

It's a small indoor museum, I did not see any dogs when we were there. I'm thinking it would not be appropriate to bring dogs in.
