My son and I had a great time recently for my birthday!!! The captain was wonderful and shared many interesting things about the area. Hope we can go again as each trip is different depending on nature herself.

This was a nice tour and I probably would do it again next time I go. We took the 1:15 ride the same time as the Pirate Invasion. That I do not recommend. The water was very congested and it made the tour not as great. Yes we came knowing it was the pirate invasion but I took the tour... More

The two people we interacted with were very nice but you're just paying for a boat ride. We went across the inlet to see a horse we could have seen from the dock. Then we went up the inlet about 500 yards, turned around, rode under the drawbridge up to the new bridge and back. That was it. We got... More

Captain Bob was great! He has been running the tour for over 14 years and has a wealth of knowledge about Beaufort and all the islands. There's a few trivia questions too so speak up if you know the answer!

Small launch takes passengers up and down the harbour giving a view of several barrier islands a few yards off shore. There was much ado about the wild horses who live on these islands. We saw only one old mare who was so emaciated one could count her ribs. Wild critters are always hit or miss and today was not... More

My husband and my 2 young adult children went on a tour of Beaufort by boat to get a better view of the town. The tour guide was very informative and took time to try and get us a view of the wild horses. We were able to see the Reserve and the town from the harbor. It was definitely... More

Waterbug gives fairly short tours of the islands in Beaufort Harbor - Carrot Island, Horse Island and a view of the wild horses on Shackleford Banks and the Rachel Carson Reserve. The captain gives 6-8 tours every day and has been doing it for over 20 years so he REALLY knows his stuff - but if you want to get... More

We happened to come across this tour boat and it was perfect for a romantic trip for my fiancé and myself. Captain Peggy was amazing and very knowledgeable. She gave us a lot more than we asked. I highly recommend her. Don't skip this!

Very informative guide. We got to see 25 wild horses grazing on the beach which we were told is a rare occasion. Well worth the $15 for an hour tour.
