This was our first time to the gardens. We’d had heard wonderful things. I think our mistake was to go in the winter, in the dark, for the Christmas lights. Next time I would go in the spring to see the gardens in daylight. There...More
Although there were few blooms, the water features, trees and shrubs were lovely. The orchid house is fantastic: well laid out, clever displays, enchanting waterfall. We were there during the day but the holiday light decorations are a sellout.
The orchid pavilion made the trip worth it. The rest of the gardens were very drab this time of year. We went during the day the end of December. I wished we could have gone at night to see the Christmas lights. I could see...More

We go to see the lights every year. They add more lights each season and are also changing out older lights with LEDs. In addition to lights there are a number of other attractions-- the fire pit in Lost Hollow is a favorite. While the holiday lights are very well attended, I've never seen crowds for that as large as the Chinese Lantern crowds.
