Access to this trail is right behind the Memorial Park in Blowing Rock. The trail descends about 650 feet and is quite steep at times, worth remembering as you have to come back up afterwards. We took it slow and steady and did the round...More

Not much to it. A good place to go walking or jogging, but not much to see other than a small stream.

Glen Burney Trail is a beautiful trail, just over a mile that passes several waterfalls on New Years Creek. The trailhead is right outside downtown Blowing Rock and makes a great hike if visiting. The first half-mile follows an old road grade and is quite...More

This is a great in-town hike if you have a few hours available. There are two named waterfalls and a cascade on this well-worn stream-side trail. The first waterfall on New Years Creek (yes, the actual name), Glen Burney Falls, is the site of a...More

Approximately a two mile hike right in town. Goes along a stream with several picturesque waterfalls. The trail is moderately challenging due to rugged terrain of the trail, i.e. large rocks and roots in trail.
