Great little produce stand

Great little place to get fresh produce and they also have a huge selection of relishes, pickles, jams and jellies.

Always love to stop and visit Jerry and take home fresh from the garden produce! The peaches we get from him make the best jam, and also pickling cucumbers and canning tomatoes!

The "shack" is on the roadside of 105 between Boone and the turn for Valle Crucis. We bought a couple things including some fresh corn and strawberries and an amazing vidalia onion mustard relish the first time that we visited. We went back again before we left to stock up on some jellies, relish, hot sauces, etc. Not only was... More

A great place for homemade canned goods, fresh produce in season, peaches, apples, ham, cheese, candy and tomatoes. When in season the best heirloom tomatoes, as well as, the best prices in Boone. One of my favorite places in Boone.

There are actually two Tomato Shack locations in the Boone area. One is on Rte 105 on the Boone side of the turn-off for the 105 Extension. The other is further down 105 on the way to the turn-off to Valle Crucis. Both are great sources of fresh fruit and vegetables and at very reasonable prices. My wife and I... More

The best so fresh. Nothing like a homegrown tomato. I wish I could find tomatoes this good around my area.

I have never had such fresh and delicious produce! We bought some zucchini, peaches and tomatoes and were not disappointed! For all that we bought it was under $10. What a great value!

If you're in the North Carolina mountains anywhere near Boone, a stop at the Tomato Shack for fresh fruits & veggies AND a look around this purely mountain, purely country little place can be a rich & unique experience. A "down home" conversation with the owner can be as informative as as it is entertaining, and the mountain humor &... More
