Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours offers a 3 hour experience with 13 different zip lines and 8 bridges with challenges. Our Rangers are trained to interpret the natural environment and offer a personal guided experience pointing out natural features along the way. Two new bridges and two new ziplines added in 2012 give spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains and Fontana Lake. Added in 2015 the KidZip offers a separate self guided tour on multiple ziplines for kids ages 4 to 12. A soaring zip experience through the trees, NGCT is More than a zip line ride.

My two late teenaged children and myself went on the 3 hour canopy tour and enjoyed every single minute! Our guides, Kenneth and Lujon, were interactive and super funny, which made the whole experience a great time and well worth it. The lines were amazing,...More

We took the train out of Bryson City and then got off for the Zipline. We had never zipped before. Our group had us and 1 other couple we met on the bus. Everybody had a blast. 3 of the 4 did not like heights...More

We did this in conjunction with the Great Smoky Mountain Train ride - the train ride was fine, rather boring. The coordination with the zipline went well, no issues. I have done a fair amount of ziplining and ropes courses - this is the first...More

Really enjoyed our guides Kenneth and LuJon. Fantastic course layout that seems to reward you as you gain comfort as skill in zipping. Our guides helped our newbie grandmother and rode with her on every zip to ensure she made it across.

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our morning zip-line tour. This was our first time zip-lining and I am afraid of heights. The staff were wonderful and we all felt very safe and comfortable in the trees.

We took our family of 7 on the Ride 'N Rail from Bryson City. While the rafting was a great time the train ride was so-so. Most of the ride was spent watching Kudzu-covered trees roll by. Skip the train and just do the Nantahala...More
