Went with the Senior Group in May for a Mother's Day Tea. Enjoyed all the old fashioned ice boxes, tea sets, dolls and the old mill village houses. All the houses have been brought back to their original beauty. Amazing how people worked and lived...More

This mill village has been restored and the homes are occupied by new owners. The Company Store is still there and looks as if one day they left and it remains untouched. Nice kayak/canoe launching area along the Haw River Trail which runs beside the...More

We thought this would be a great stop on our drive and we were not able to find it. We found the town and there was not even a place to stop and explore. So much for a break from driving! Very disappointing.
