The summit is well worth the effort for the views alone. On a cool, crisp day I have been told you can see all the way to the Charlotte skyline, over 88 miles away.

Was in a wedding at the restaurant, and the groom insisted on us all trekking to the top for pictures. Which, I am sure, will turn out spectacular. But in a strapless dress, even in mid-July, the wind is quite biting cold. And the hike...More
