A beautiful place to watch the sunset. Shallow beach for children, fantastic place to climb on your board and hold on. Some days are slow but when the wind is up, it's something else.

Came here to watch the sun down two nights in a row it was so beautiful! Looks like a great spot to launch a kayak or kite surf. Also note, the signage reads Haulover, not Canadian hole.

We stopped here to see the sunset over the sound. Really great view. There were many people kite surfing, not for me but looked like a lot of fun.

a legendary spot for windsurfing and kiteboarding, parking area with toilets. Whether watching or sailing this spot is buzzing on a windy day.

Canadian Hole is on the Sound-side of Hatteras Island. Supposedly the fave spot for Canadian visitors. Good location for shallow-water activities. Facilities available.

This is a beautiful spot on the sound side of the island but there's nothing much to do and parking is not easy. You can enjoy it just as well by driving slowly by it unless you want to get in the water.

Beautiful spot to wade, watch kite surfers in action and view spectacular sunsets. Basic camping-type bathrooms available. No-fee area and plenty of parking. To find it look for signs that say Haulover Day Use area. Signage does NOT say Canadian Hole.

Really nice small beach area on the Pamlico Sound inside the Cape Hatteras Nat'l Seashore Park. Easy parking and bathrooms in sight when in season. This little beach is okay for the kids to splash around in, although the bottom is a little muddy. This is also a great spot to watch the windsurfers and kitesurfers.

When the family is visiting, we always spend one day here! It is great for those days when the ocean is too rough...and it is family friendly...kayaking, windsurfing, sand, and sun! Just FUN!

Take the kids and wade in the water. You can find clams with your fingers. Kite-board. Sail-board. Stand-up paddle board. Swim. Snorkel. Safe, and calm, and warm, and fun.
