Such a treat seeing fly traps, sundew and pitcher plants in their natural habit! Small visitors center but worth a trip inside. Easy trails with views of native plants, swamps and the cape fear river.

Once again most of the beach shops and restaurants are closed for the season. This has a nice boardwalk area and places to sit. If get sandy there is shower heads to rinse off. This weekend rib fest was being held out here.

We were tent camping on a bicycle trip and this campground was excellent. Good shower and bathroom facilities; picnic table; electric outlet for recharging devices; and very shady. Easy to find and naviigate throught he park.

There is no day use fee. However, there are specific open and closing hours and the gate is locked while the park is closed. Fires are allowed in designated areas only, such as the campground, no beach fires.
