Very pretty and serene place for a short stroll. Not a large park. It is a nice distraction from the noise of Franklin street. I've heard it's not safe at night though.

If you want to get out a bit and take a walk, you can wander the arboretum. Some benchs, well maintained, winding walks, very pretty and feels large for the space.

http://www.unc.edu/interactive-tour/landmarks/coker-arboretum/ These are varied and beautiful gardens in the midst of the University of North Carolina's campus. They are free to walk through, and definitely worth visiting several times a year to see the change in plants. Very nice!

Not always well maintained in the winter but always lovely for a destressing stroll. It's not very big but the location on campus is perfect.

Right inside the UNC Campus so very convenient to add to a tour. Pretty but small area. Lots of secluded places to sit and relax. All the plants and trees are labeled so that was very interesting.

What a treat to have such a beautiful spot right in the middle of UNC's campus. It's a tranquil place where you can find students studying, or just relaxing, taking in the beauty of flowers and trees.

One of the most amazing spaces on any university campuses. It is truly lovely at any time of the year.
