That is a school that I would have loved to attend. The campus is huge. The hotel on campus is worth the money. Four star all the way.

Absolutely beautiful university! The cobblestone walkways, old greenery, and beautiful gardens exemplify southern charm at its best! We stayed at the Carolina Inn which allowed us quick access to walk about the campus and explore. We especially loved seeing the old well and the arboretum....More

If you want to be a college student, UNC is the place! Great computer science department and Biology Department. It is an open campus which I enjoyed very much. Just walk to Franklin Street and have access to restaurants, coffee shops...etc

Campus tour was filled with beautiful landscape and plenty of history. Don't forget to see and take a photo at the Old Well, which is the symbol of UNC Chapel Hill.

A wonderful walking tour - most especially in the spring time when the flowers and trees are in bloom.

My wife ran in the race. It was highly organized. We also walked the campus and the visited the Student Stores. This is Mecca for the die hard Tar Heel fan.

Hi my son has been accepted to do the fall semester at this University. We want to go out before term starts in August and I would like to book us both into a hotel or other suitable accommodation before halls open and then I will return home. We would like to be tourists first. Any information would be very appreciated. It will both of ours first time in America and would love to enjoy the area and the attractions that it offers. Please advise including transport for us both and semester transport. All help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I want to add one more thing - shopping for your son's "domestic" needs, etc. I imagine you will purchase most items on arrival like most from "out of area." There is little shopping in Chapel Hill/Franklin Street walking... More
