Was down in Chapel Hill on business and decided to take a look around the campus. This place is huge. There is no 'strolling' around like on some other town schools. This is a school you get in the car and drive around, or even...More

I love my graduate school campus. Seriously, I have to walk through it constantly, and I STILL insist that any out-of-towners come for a walking tour to see the gorgeous school buildings and greenspaces. It's easily walkable, and you can hop over to Franklin Street...More

What a buzz when on campus. Great school to visit but holy cow to get a t shirt at a decent price can't be done. Gift Shops are a rip off!

A beautiful college campus steep in traditions, known for its academic quality. Old buildings have been modernized, but keep their old-style charm.

Walking around the UNC campus will be, of course, a completely different experience for the traveler, depending on their relationship to the school. For me, it is always about "the past," nostalgic sensations and memories of what it was like to be a student here....More

I'm probably not the most impartial reviewer for this since I went to school here but I love the beautiful buildings and grounds. It's nice that when you step foot on campus it really feels like you're on a campus and not in the middle...More

I want to add one more thing - shopping for your son's "domestic" needs, etc. I imagine you will purchase most items on arrival like most from "out of area." There is little shopping in Chapel Hill/Franklin Street walking... More
