Our daughters enjoyed the Mint Museum as much as we did. We have been back and will return often. Dinner following is also a treat.

Although it is not located in the down town area, it is a place to learn about art and enjoy an hour or two of peace and serenity. Great art work. It's worth seeing.

We came for two special exhibits: one on fashion and one on 1950's scenic painting. Both were excellent and we enjoyed some permanent exhibits we came across. This is an outstanding museum in the center of Charlotte. There is a parking ramp below making it...More

Beautiful building, friendly people but heavily American art with not too many names I recognized. A sampling of various types of art. Some important images from the civil rights battles. Not sure it’s worth the trip.

There's underground parking at the building next door (Levine Centre for the Arts) I believe the entrance to the parking is on W. Stonewall St. It's $3.00 per half hour during the day, $5 after 5pm.
