This is the best collection of aviation history that could be found. Seeing the Miracle on the Hudson and the original DC-3 brought "goose bumps". My Grandkids said they never heard me say "I was there and I remember what I was doing" One said "Granddad are you really that old?"

This museum is located right on the premises of the airport. You can watch airplanes take off from inside the lobby of the museum. This museum is absolutely amazing with so many different kinds of planes. The Miracle on the Hudson is such a great piece to the museum. It has some much information about the flight from the perfectives... More

This is a must see. However it is near and dear to my heart "The Miracle on the Hudson" plane landing. The actual plane is in the museum. You can almost walk from the Charlotte Douglas Airport to see. Most do not know but this is the original Charlotte Douglas Airport. You can see military planes and sit inside a... More

Convenient location and a helpful staff make the CAM a great way to spend a few hours. Excellent exhibits, beautifully restored planes and a well stocked gift shop make it a great place to visit. I have been a few times and discover additional treasures with every visit.

Kind of pointless to have a private event on the anniversary ( Jan 15th) with hundreds of people wanting to go to the museum to share the experience. Drove 2 and a half hours to turn back around.

We were so pleasantly surprised by how robust this museum is - we will definitely be back and will probably bring our nieces and nephew. The Miracle on the Hudson installation is amazing and tells such a great story; I was very moved by reading the first-hand accounts from passengers on the plane, which were made more powerful by the... I was in the area and had a little time available to explore this museum. Glad I did. They have a new building with interactive displays, memorabilia, and many actual aircraft, including the USAir Airbus from the Miracle on the Hudson. I arrived close to closing time so I had to rush through the exhibits (my own fault.) I'm looking... More

We took our 12-year old granddaughter to this museum after having seen the amazing movie "Sully" so this was an especially meaningful experience for her, to see the actual plane involved in that spectacular event in our aviation history. There are plenty of other planes, including an old Piedmont Airlines plane and information about the Wright's Kitty Hawk flight. This... More

Intimate museum showing famous aircraft, including the Miracle on the Hudson! Wonderful for kids. Both inside and outside displays of aircraft over the years.
