I liked the tour of the homestead. At least it was genuine and not trying to sterilize the history of N. Carolina, like what is happening all over the south. The explained the slaves, they didn't try to hide the flags. This needs to be...More

Touring the Hezikiah Alexander House with a docent was a great experience. Dress in period costume, she was knowledgable, funny and connected well with a diverse group. The spring house and kitchen garden are also interesting, The museum is okay, certainly worth a walk-through.

I enjoyed the whole museum, but especially the tour of the Hezekiah Alexander Homesite. That was great for photos, too. The tour guide was very knowledgeable.

See up close and personal the history of Mecklenburg county. The house tour is guided by a very experienced guide who was extremely knowledgeable. Saw the largest bell in the US and learned about the Charlotte gold rush as well. Worth the trip

This museum is well run, innovative in their programs and exhibits, and not to be missed. Off the beaten path, but well worth the trip out there.

We went to the first of a series of teas related to British history and were delighted. We saw lots of intriguing things that make us want to go back and spend more time.
