If you have 30-45 minutes free in downtown Charlotte, check out this museum. It goes over the history of Wells Fargo and Wachovia and how both are entwined with our country’s economic growth and westward expansion. The museum has some hands on activities for younger...More

The Wells Fargo Museum is a nice little museum going over the history of Wells Fargo along with Wachovia who merged with Wells Fargo. Free entry & lots of displays to give yo a feel of pioneer banking & gold transport.

We really enjoyed meandering around the WF History Museum. They have a long and storied past and it was fascinating to see stage coaches and read the diary entries of people who traveled inside them...(often across the country...) I will never complain about waiting to...More

We stumbled upon this museum after lunch one afternoon. The museum is small but has a lot of neat hands-on displays for the young ones and offers a glimpse into the history of Wells-Fargo and general banking. If you find yourself nearby pop-in for a...More

This small museum is free to visit. It presents an interesting history of Wells Fargo and includes a stagecoach, a “treasure box” and information on how banking has changed over the years, from the N.C. gold rush to ATMs. Worth a visit if you’re uptown.

With a focus on the history of mail and banking, it was interesting, interactive and the family liked the photo aspects of it

This downtown museum covers the history of the Wells-Fargo Corporation and its predecessor/acquired companies, highlighting the development of banking over the years. The stagecoach and pioneer-era replica bank teller desk will intrigue the youngest family members. Older kids may appreciate things like the earliest ATMs,...More

A quaint little museum totally free. I learn a lot about the beginning of banking including the role of women in banking as customers and workers. The museum offer plenty of interactive activity, like riding a coach, recreate a picture or communicate in morse.

We'd been to the museum on Old Town san diego, which was great, but different. It's quite a bit larger and features MANY of the actual ( or reproduction) wagons and a deep history of that time period. This one, in Charlotte, is more modern,...More
